Ingredients:
Each tablet contains Metoprolol Tartrate 25 mg.

Direction of Use:
Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your physician. Do not stop taking it without medical advice, even if you feel well.

Indication:
Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Angina pectoris (chest pain)
Myocardial infarction (heart attack)
Arrhythmias (irregular heartbeat)
Prevention of migraine
Heart failure (in selected cases)

Pharmacology:
Metoprolol is a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker. It reduces heart rate, cardiac output, and blood pressure by blocking the action of epinephrine and norepinephrine on the heart. This helps to reduce strain on the heart and improve blood flow.

Dosage & Administration:
Typical adult dosage is 25–100 mg per day, in divided doses or as directed by a physician. Dosage may be adjusted based on response and condition severity.

How to Use:
Take with or immediately after food to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Take it at the same time each day for best results.

Interaction:
Metoprolol may interact with:
Other antihypertensive agents
Digoxin
Insulin and oral antidiabetics (may mask hypoglycemia)
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
Calcium channel blockers (e.g., verapamil, diltiazem)
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs)

Contraindications:
Severe bradycardia
Second- or third-degree heart block
Cardiogenic shock
Severe peripheral arterial circulatory disorders
Untreated pheochromocytoma
Known hypersensitivity to Metoprolol or other beta-blockers

Overdose Effects:
Symptoms include bradycardia, hypotension, heart block, and bronchospasm. Immediate medical attention is required. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive.
