Ingredients: Nebivolol 2.5 mg
Direction of Use: Take as directed by a physician, preferably at the same time each day, with or without food.
Indication: Used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and certain cases of heart failure.
Pharmacology, Dosage & Administration:
Pharmacology: Nebivolol is a selective β1-blocker with vasodilatory properties, enhancing nitric oxide release.
Dosage: Usually 2.5–5 mg once daily, adjusted as per the patient’s response.
Administration: Taken orally with water.
Interaction:
May interact with other antihypertensives, digoxin, insulin, NSAIDs, and certain antidepressants, altering blood pressure control.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in severe bradycardia, cardiogenic shock, decompensated heart failure, hepatic impairment, and hypersensitivity to Nebivolol.
Side Effects:
Dizziness, fatigue, headache, bradycardia, hypotension, nausea, and insomnia.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use in pregnancy only if necessary. Avoid during breastfeeding due to potential drug secretion in breast milk.
Precautions & Warnings:
Use cautiously in patients with diabetes, asthma, renal or hepatic impairment. Sudden discontinuation may worsen angina or cause rebound hypertension.
Overdose Effects:
Symptoms include severe bradycardia, hypotension, heart failure, or bronchospasm. Immediate medical attention is required.
