Ingredients:
Each tablet contains:
Rupatadine 10 mg

Direction of Use:
Take the tablet once daily, with or without food.
Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Do not exceed the prescribed dose.

Indication:
Treatment of allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny or blocked nose, and itchy eyes).
Relief of chronic urticaria (hives) and other allergic skin conditions.

Pharmacology:
Rupatadine is a second-generation antihistamine that blocks H1 histamine receptors, reducing allergic symptoms.
It also has anti-platelet-activating factor (PAF) activity, helping prevent inflammatory responses in allergies.
Unlike first-generation antihistamines, it causes less drowsiness.

Dosage & Administration:
Adults & children (above 12 years): 10 mg once daily.
Children below 12 years: Safety and efficacy not established.
Elderly patients: Use with caution and consult a doctor.

Interaction:
With CNS depressants (e.g., alcohol, sedatives): May increase drowsiness.
With ketoconazole & erythromycin: Can increase rupatadine levels in the blood.
With grapefruit juice: May enhance drug absorption, increasing side effects.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to rupatadine or any component of the tablet.
Severe liver impairment (use with caution).

Side Effects:
Common: Drowsiness, dry mouth, fatigue, headache, dizziness.
Rare: Palpitations, gastrointestinal discomfort.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
Pregnancy: Not recommended unless prescribed by a doctor.
Lactation: Avoid use, as it may pass into breast milk.

Precautions & Warnings:
Patients with kidney or liver disease should use with caution.
Avoid alcohol and sedatives, as they may increase drowsiness.
If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor.

Overdose Effects:
Symptoms may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, and dry mouth.
Seek immediate medical attention in case of overdose.

Therapeutic Class:
Non-sedating Antihistamine (H1 receptor antagonist).
