Pharmacology:
Itraconazole is a triazole antifungal agent that inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. By blocking cytochrome P450-dependent 14α-demethylase, it disrupts cell membrane integrity, leading to fungal cell death.

Interaction:

Avoid use with antacids or proton pump inhibitors which reduce its absorption.
