Description

Ingredients:
Each tablet contains Terbinafine Hydrochloride equivalent to Terbinafine 250 mg.

Direction of Use:
Take orally with or without food, at the same time each day, as prescribed by your healthcare provider.

Indication:
Used to treat fungal infections of the:
Fingernails and toenails (onychomycosis)
Skin (tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis)
Scalp (tinea capitis)

Pharmacology:
Terbinafine is an allylamine antifungal that works by inhibiting the enzyme squalene epoxidase, which is essential for fungal cell membrane synthesis. This leads to accumulation of squalene and disruption of the fungal cell membrane, resulting in fungal cell death.

Dosage & Administration:
Adults: 250 mg once daily.

Duration:
Skin infections: 2–6 weeks
Fingernail infections: ~6 weeks
Toenail infections: ~12 weeks

How to Use:
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew. Complete the full course of therapy even if symptoms improve early.

Interaction:
May interact with rifampin (reduces effectiveness), cimetidine (increases levels), and certain antidepressants.
Use with caution in patients on liver enzyme-affecting drugs.

Contraindications:
